Mass General Brigham is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow (Biomedical Optics) for Dr. Suter’s Pulmonary Optical Imaging Laboratory. You will focus on developing and using optical diagnostics for studying the lungs, contributing to groundbreaking medical discoveries in a high-performing team environment.
What You'll Do
- Work on the development and use of optical diagnostics for studying the lungs.
- Use novel optical imaging systems, including polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography, to assess lung disease.
- Conduct preclinical and clinical studies.
What We're Looking For
- A doctorate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Experience with optics and optical systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience or skills related to biomedical imaging.
- Experience or skills related to image analysis.
- Experience or skills related to data processing & analysis.
- Programming experience (Matlab, C/C++, Python).
- Experience with optical fiber.
- Experience with scientific paper writing.
- Self-motivated.
- Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing and eager to learn new skills and explore novel ideas.

Team & Environment
You will work within Dr. Suter’s Pulmonary Optical Imaging Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital within the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. It is a well-funded but smaller lab.
Work Mode
This position is onsite at 55 Fruit Street.
