Talex.ai is hiring a Portuguese Speech Data Annotator to build high-quality language models. In this role, you will provide accurate annotation of pronunciation, nasalization, and dialectal differences, which is critical for training AI systems to understand Portuguese accurately across regions.
What You'll Do
- Transcribe Portuguese speech accurately, differentiating between European and Brazilian pronunciations.
- Annotate nasalized vowels and consonants, which affect word meaning and recognition.
- Capture connected speech and regional pronunciation differences.
- Tag paralinguistic events such as hesitations, laughter, or background noises.
- Maintain annotation consistency and follow internal quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- Native-level proficiency in Portuguese.
- Strong understanding of differences between European and Brazilian dialects.
- Excellent transcription and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in linguistics, transcription, or speech annotation.
- Familiarity with generative AI or machine learning concepts.
