TaxValet is hiring a Pod Engineering Lead (PEL), a key engineering role within our empowered Pod model of software product development. You will be the primary engineering point of contact, collaborating closely with Product Management, Design, and Data Science to bring technical considerations early into the development process.
What You'll Do
- Act as a peer and primary engineering point of contact for your Pod PM, Designer, and other cross-functional leads.
- Bring deep technical and system understanding to help ideate and design the next big product idea or feature.
- Complete the last mile autonomously, finalizing direction from your own understanding of the business context.
- Combine technical skills and product sense to simplify healthcare complexities and build delightful experiences for physicians.
- Find pragmatic solutions that balance engineering challenges with product demands.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience with functional or imperative programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Java, or C.
- Full-stack experience designing and building complex, often distributed, end-to-end solutions and systems.
- Comfortable working across different technical systems and concerns.
- Excellent communicator verbally and in writing, who enjoys creating easy-to-read technical design documents.
- Ability to influence at all levels, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and drive technical decision-making.
