About the Role
This position involves performing plumbing and gas fitting work across various job sites, including assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of piping systems and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install and service plumbing systems in new and existing structures
- Assemble and connect piping for water, drainage, and gas distribution
- Test systems for leaks and proper functionality
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Comply with applicable plumbing and gas codes
- Perform maintenance and repairs on fixtures and piping
- Work with gas lines and ensure safe handling practices
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and site-specific regulations
- Respond to emergency service calls when required
- Ensure proper venting and drainage in system design
- Support project timelines and meet deadlines
- Document work performed and materials used
