Seed-X is hiring a PLC Programmer to take full ownership of the PLC domain for our AI-powered fish sorting machines. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining PLC systems from the ground up, with significant travel required to ensure successful deployment and operation.

What You'll Do

Design, program, develop, and implement PLC systems for machinery.
Modify, optimize, and maintain existing PLC programs to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Perform remote troubleshooting and resolve PLC-related issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure all systems comply with safety standards and cybersecurity requirements.
Document all programming changes and maintain proper version control.
Assist in the commissioning and construction of new machines.
Define, implement, and maintain global PLC standards.
Collaborate with suppliers, software teams, and AI teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Analyze machine data to detect faults, diagnose failures, and monitor overall machine performance.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in PLC programming as an Automation Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or similar role.
A track record of deploying automation solutions (machines) in the field.
Ability to apply solution thinking, considering all aspects of the automation solution.
Agile work style to iterate quickly and arrive at solutions.
Self-directed and solution-oriented work approach.
Excellent communication skills.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
A B.Sc. in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or a similar field.
Willingness and excitement to travel up to 75% of total time.
Very good English proficiency.
