Leapfrog Power, Inc. is hiring a Platform Operations Analyst to join our mission to decarbonize the world’s electric grids. In this role, you will support the implementation of strategies and core processes for our participation in energy markets, manage day-to-day data operations, and develop automated monitoring solutions.
What You'll Do
- Support implementation of strategies and processes for participation across existing and new programs in various energy markets.
- Manage day-to-day internal data and performance operations and processes.
- Create and maintain critical dashboards, monitor data for completeness and accuracy, and support required data submissions.
- Troubleshoot data and process issues as they arise.
- Analyze energy market data to help evolve our market participation strategies.
- Develop scalable and automated monitoring and alerting processes using Looker, Python, SQL, and internal tools.
- Collaborate with Market Revenue and Partner Success teams to build high-impact, scalable solutions for viewing VPP performance data.
- Drive documentation efforts to increase understanding of complex performance operations and identify improvements.
- Work directly with partners and program operators to resolve issues and understand their feedback.
- Manage independent collaboration with partners and program operators as needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with external stakeholders.
- Work autonomously on assigned projects and participate in cross-team collaboration.
- Share learnings and knowledge with the team.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in technical data analysis and/or program management.
- At least one year of experience in wholesale electricity markets, demand response, or distributed energy resource spaces.
- 2+ years of SQL experience.
- 2+ years experience in object-oriented programming languages (Python, R or Matlab).
- Experience in data analytics, building complex processes, continuously improving operations, and learning optimization strategies.
- Experience building and owning operational dashboards with high accountability for reducing operational risk.
- Familiarity with BI reporting tools (Looker or similar) and spreadsheets (Gsheets, Excel).
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment with strong written communication and clear cross-functional coordination across time zones.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to energy markets and/or distributed energy resources.
- Experience with and a strong interest in leveraging AI tools (e.g., LLMs, code assistants) to enhance productivity, improve data insights, and automate routine tasks.
