ComeOn Group is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join their core engineering team in Katowice, Poland. The developer will design scalable backend features, optimize system performance, and maintain clean, maintainable architecture using PHP 8.x and Symfony within a service-oriented web application environment.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement robust, testable, and scalable backend services using PHP 8.x and Symfony
- Build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs that power web and mobile applications
- Participate in rigorous peer code reviews and contribute to internal coding standards
- Optimize complex SQL queries and design efficient database schemas (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
- Work closely with Product Owners, Frontend Developers, and QA Engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Occasionally assist junior developers through pair programming and knowledge sharing
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3-4 years of commercial experience in PHP (8.x preferred)
- Deep understanding of Symfony (6+)
- Experience in writing unit and integration tests (PHPUnit, Pest, or Behat)
- Practical knowledge of Design Patterns, SOLID, and DRY principles
- Proficiency in SQL and working with ORMs (Doctrine or Eloquent)
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), and basic cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- English B2+ level for effective communication in a global environment
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of Python (e.g., for scripting or supporting data-related microservices)
- Knowledge of Redis or RabbitMQ for handling asynchronous tasks
- Experience in Microservices or Event-Driven Architecture
