Cigna Healthcare is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join our Freedom Fertility team. In this full-time remote role, you will support patients with fertility medications by processing prescriptions, managing insurance claims, and facilitating clear communication between patients, doctors, and insurers. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills.
What You'll Do
- Associate prescription images to patient profiles and create new profiles as needed.
- Prepare prescriptions for processing, including assessing their validity.
- Manually route orders to the appropriate stage for processing, validation, or clarification from doctors' offices, insurances, and patients.
- Accurately enter prescriptions into our system, run test claims, and support patients with medication orders.
- Associate and add insurance or discount program information to patients or specific medications, including setting up coordination of benefits.
- Resolve insurance rejections and update patients on any processing delays.
- Interact directly with healthcare providers and insurance companies, researching issues and providing patient guidance on medication coverage.
- Respond to incoming patient calls regarding prescriptions, coverage including copays, and setting up patient-driven refills.
- Complete multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail or customer service.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Experience working prescription claims and knowledge of rejections.
- Valid National Pharmacy Technician certification.
- Valid Arizona State pharmacy technician license.
- Microsoft Office proficiency and strong data entry skills.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must reside within the state of Arizona.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule (details provided during hiring process).
