Boots is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team and deliver outstanding patient-centred service to our communities. In this role, you will be responsible for triaging patients, coaching the healthcare team, and providing expert technical advice on the supply of medicines.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines, products or Macmillan Cancer Support.
- Deliver various services depending on the store's needs.
- Build great relationships with your pharmacy team, coaching and inspiring them to deliver the highest standard of care.
- Assist with the triage of patients and distribute prescription handouts.
- Take ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
- Manage operational tasks including replenishing stock, workload management, order fulfilment, and receiving and handling controlled drugs whilst ensuring patient safety.
What We're Looking For
- Registration with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
- A genuine excitement for coaching and leading a dispensary team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Motivation to change things for the better for our teams, customers and patients.
- A desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
- Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician with checking capability.
