CVS Health is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to be a critical part of our retail pharmacy team. You'll ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and patients receive the caring, accurate service they expect.
What You'll Do
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage patient health.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across all stations.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and creating personalized moments.
- Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership and as permitted by law.
- Contribute to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset and being receptive to feedback.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, traveling to stores in the market as needed.
- Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies.
- Deliver additional patient health care services where allowable by law and supported by training.
- Where permissible, support immunizations by obtaining Technician Immunizer status.
- Educate patients about vaccines and refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events per public health requirements.
- Review and collect patient information, tracking and documenting for each applicable patient.
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
What We're Looking For
- Compliance with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing pharmacy practice.
- If the state does not mandate a minimum age, you must be at least 16 years of age.
- If the state does not mandate minimum education, a high school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment, is required.
- Commitment to regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus with the ability to pivot between tasks.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Customer service and team orientation with a genuine desire to help.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and active listening.
- Mathematical reasoning ability to solve problems like determining day's supply.
- Problem resolution skills for challenging patient or colleague interactions.
- Ability to meet physical demands including standing, lifting, reaching, and visual acuity; occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to express ideas and receive detailed information through spoken word.
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations.
Team & Environment
You will be part of the pharmacy team within our Retail locations, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager.

Work Mode
This is an onsite role based in retail store locations. It may require travel to other stores in the market.
