Signet Jewelers is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. Your role is critical in helping patients on their path to better health, from advising on prescriptions to managing chronic conditions.
What You'll Do
- Work as part of the pharmacy team under direct pharmacist supervision to ensure patient safety and meet regulatory requirements.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and assist with quality assurance in the pharmacy.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow (excluding final prescription verification).
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe.
- Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager.
What We're Looking For
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years relevant work experience.
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, scan, and bag items.
- Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing.
- Ability to reach overhead and extend arms in multiple directions.
- Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions.
- Ability to stoop, requiring full use of lower extremities and back muscles.
- Close visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading.
- Ability to orally communicate information and instructions.
- Ability for occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
Nice to Have
- Immunization eligibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Striving to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
