Directive is looking for a Performance Creative Designer to own the visual identity for our B2B marketing consultancy. As the steward of our brand, you will build visual systems that perform in paid channels and communicate effectively to enterprise prospects. This is an individual contributor role focused on translating brand strategy into credible, sophisticated creative.
What You'll Do
- Steward and evolve Directive's visual identity across all touchpoints.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system for three divisions and the Stratos AI platform.
- Establish and apply clear brand standards across internal and external assets.
- Translate brand positioning into credible, sophisticated visual language for a CMO-level audience.
- Design and produce static ad units across LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, and programmatic display in various aspect ratios.
- Produce motion graphics and short-form video cutdowns (:15, :30, :60) for social advertising.
- Edit raw video footage into polished ad units without a dedicated video editor.
- Collaborate with media team to interpret campaign performance data (CTR, watch time) to inform creative decisions.
- Build and execute A/B creative tests: develop hypotheses, design test assets, and analyze results.
- Maintain visual consistency across ad creative while adapting to different audiences and platforms.
- Design pitch decks, proposal templates, one-pagers, and case study presentations for enterprise prospects.
- Build reusable, templated sales enablement assets for the growth team.
- Develop division-specific collateral (Performance, Communications, Commerce) within the broader brand system.
- Partner with strategy and growth leadership to align visual structure with selling narratives.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of professional design experience, with meaningful portion in agency, professional services, or B2B marketing.
- Portfolio showing range across brand work and performance creative with measurable results.
- Demonstrated experience designing for paid social platforms (LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, YouTube).
- 1–2 years of motion graphics and short-form video production experience.
- Experience designing sales and pitch materials for a professional services or B2B context.
- Expert level Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Proficient in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro for independent production.
- Proficient in Figma for design systems, component libraries, and collaborative handoff.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and CRO tools (Optimizely, Unbounce, Crazy Egg, or equivalent).
- Heavy reliance and comfortability with generative AI and a recommended tool-set.
- Produce deliverables that ship weekly.
- Connect design decisions to commercial outcomes (conversion, hierarchy, brand signals).
- Read and respond to performance data (CTR, watch time, scroll-stop rate).
- Communicate proactively, surface blockers, give accurate timelines, keep stakeholders informed.
- Take feedback well and revise without drama in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity with an incomplete design system.
Nice to Have
- Experience with project management tools like Asana.
- Familiarity with a marketing analytics stack (GA4, Looker, or similar) to extract creative implications.
