About the Role

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is looking for a Peer Tutor to support fellow students in achieving their learning goals, primarily in STEM subjects. In this role, you'll gain valuable professional development in communication, mentorship, and understanding learning processes while contributing to a collaborative academic community.

What You'll Do

  • Provide tutoring and support in one of our service areas.
  • Assist learners in the development of effective study skills and test-taking strategies.
  • Learn and continually apply TLC and tutoring program procedures.
  • Regularly check staff email and communicate with other staff members.
  • Attend required orientations, meetings, and training sessions.

What We're Looking For

  • Completed at least one semester at UWSP with at least two semesters remaining.
  • Demonstrate a strong grasp of course material as evidenced by a 3.0 GPA or above and/or a faculty recommendation letter.
  • Available to tutor for at least two semesters.
  • Willing to work with peers in a collaborative, inclusive learning environment.
  • Enjoy helping others learn.

Work Mode
