The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is hiring a Peer Tutor for the Tutoring-Learning Center. In this role, you will support fellow students in achieving their learning goals while developing your own professional skills. You will focus on providing tutoring for Tech Essentials.
What You'll Do
- Provide tutoring and support in one of our service areas
- Assist learners in the development of effective study skills and test-taking strategies
- Learn and continually apply TLC and tutoring program procedures
- Regularly check staff email and communicate with other staff members
- Attend required orientations, meetings, and training sessions
What We're Looking For
- Completed at least one semester at UWSP with at least two semesters remaining
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of course material as evidenced by a 3.0 GPA or above and/or a faculty recommendation letter
- Available to tutor for at least two semesters
- Willing to work with peers in a collaborative, inclusive learning environment
- Enjoy helping others learn

Work Mode
This is an onsite position located on the UW-Stevens Point campus.
