Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to individuals with mental health, substance use, or trauma conditions using personal recovery experience.
- Guide and support others experiencing similar mental health, substance use, or trauma issues toward increased wellness.
- Work in mutuality with peers to share recovery experiences in an inspirational way.
- Support clients in developing resilience and accessing wellness tools and staff support.
- Contribute to a program focused on restoring hope, empowerment, community inclusion, realized potential, and psychiatric stabilization.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- A lived experience with mental health or substance use disorder (SUD).
- Completion of an 80-hour Peer Support Learning training or equivalent within 90 days of hire, or having completed the training within 2 years of hire.
- Current techniques of behavioral intervention training within six months of hire.
