As a Payroll Implementation Consultant, you will lead the functional delivery of a cloud-based payroll solution across client engagements in Norway. Your role spans the entire project lifecycle—from initial client discussions to system validation and live deployment. You will act as the primary point of contact for functional requirements, ensuring configurations align with local compliance standards and organizational best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client onboarding and facilitate functional requirement workshops
- Collect and document payroll data needs to complete implementation workbooks
- Identify variances from standard product configurations and processes
- Collaborate with internal product specialists to configure and refine the payroll system
- Validate payroll calculations, integrations, and data flows during testing phases
- Perform data quality checks and support resolution of discrepancies
- Coordinate defect management with technical and delivery teams
- Define workarounds and practical resolutions for identified risks or gaps
- Support user acceptance and parallel testing cycles
- Ensure smooth handover through structured knowledge transfer to operational teams
Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll consulting or software implementation, particularly in a Norwegian regulatory context
- Strong understanding of Norwegian payroll legislation, tax rules, and compliance frameworks
- Experience managing end-to-end implementation projects with client interaction
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to translate complex requirements clearly
- Proficiency in analyzing issues, proposing alternatives, and managing stakeholder expectations
- Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Adaptability to fast-moving, global project environments
