RemotePass is looking for a Payments & Treasury Specialist to join our Finance team. In this operations-focused role, you’ll manage the high-volume, cross-border processes of recording incoming funds and processing payouts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across diverse banking networks in our remote-first environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end processing of cross-border and multi-currency payments and bank transfers, ensuring timely and accurate execution across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
- Ensure precise recording and reconciliation of customer funds deposited into the platform.
- Oversee the accurate and prompt execution of high-volume payout transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with international banks and payment service providers, facilitating seamless transactions and resolving any issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations, monitor compliance standards, and implement best practices in cross-border payments.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts, monitor transaction discrepancies, and generate detailed reports on payment activities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline payment workflows, optimize transaction costs, and enhance operational efficiency through the use of modern payment technologies and tools.
- Work with internal stakeholders (accounting, customer support, payroll, tech and operations teams) to support financial planning, budgeting, and audit processes related to international transactions.
- Support month-end & annual accounting close.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in payments operations, finance operations, treasury, or fintech roles.
- Hands-on experience processing high-volume transactions (incoming funds and mass payouts).
- Experience with bank transfers, payment platforms, and multi-currency flows.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing and reconciliations.
- Comfortable working with bank portals, payment systems, and Excel / Google Sheets.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payroll platforms, or high-volume payment environments.
- Accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with Payment Service Providers.
- Familiarity with basic payment compliance and controls (AML, KYC concepts at an operational level).
