Trane Technologies is hiring a Patient Registration Representative to join the Emergency Department team at Henry Ford Hospital. You will play a vital role by managing the initial patient experience, providing professional and compassionate service from the first point of contact.
What You'll Do
- Manage patient reception and conduct face-to-face check-ins.
- Perform pre-registration, confirm insurance eligibility, and handle cash collections.
- Handle new patient registration and update existing patient records.
- Address patient and visitor inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
- Advocate for patients as the first point of contact, ensuring their needs are met.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Ability to meet core customer service standards effectively over the phone, in person, and in writing.
- Willingness and ability to instruct others on processes.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Nice to Have
- One (1) year of experience in patient admitting, registration, or insurance eligibility in a hospital or medical office.
- EPIC training or experience.
- Experience with insurance payor systems.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 medical terminology.
- Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
