ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is hiring a Patient Intake Specialist to manage the critical first point of contact for patients seeking Ketamine and Spravato treatments. You will compassionately guide individuals, some of whom may be in crisis, through the initial inquiry and scheduling process, providing education and support while maintaining precise records.
What You'll Do
- Handle inbound and outbound calls and texts from patients inquiring about or scheduling Ketamine and Spravato treatments.
- Respond with empathy to patients who may be experiencing mental health crises and seeking urgent relief.
- Educate patients on treatment options, schedule sessions, and guide them through the next steps.
- Follow provided scripts while confidently navigating nuanced, real-time conversations.
- Adapt conversations based on patient needs, emotions, and level of understanding.
- Gently address questions, concerns, and objections with a supportive, consultative approach.
- Accurately document all interactions using internal systems.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to manage multiple moving parts, track deadlines, and follow up consistently.
- Patience and professionalism to handle sensitive conversations with patients and families.
- Proficiency with Google Drive, Excel, and other administrative tools.
- An independent self-starter who can document interactions, track tasks, and ensure no detail is missed.
- A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) supporting a wired Ethernet connection.
- A reliable power backup solution to manage load shedding and outages.

- Background in call center, intake, healthcare, or patient support.
- Proficiency with Central Reach.
