Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Part-Time Patient Attendant for the Float Pool at Forbes Hospital. In this role, you will support the professional nursing staff by providing direct patient observation and ensuring a safe care environment. You will perform selected patient care activities and document patient behavior.
What You'll Do
- Perform selected patient care activities such as accompanying patients to tests and therapy sessions.
- Stay in assigned patient rooms, observe patient needs, and provide diversional activities.
- Maintain patient safety by physically intervening when necessary and communicating for additional help.
- Demonstrate effective verbal communication by sharing pertinent patient data accurately and promptly.
- Document patient behavior and activity according to policy.
- Assume responsibility for your own educational development.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

- Previous patient care experience
