AdvisaCare Home Health is presently reviewing applications for a full-time Intake/Insurance Coordinator (PAS) to complement our team at the Grand Rapids location! This position is strictly in-office.
Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 PM in the office, with weekend rotations monitoring referrals from home.
The Intake/Insurance Coordinator (PAS) is tasked with:
1. Securing benefit details, initial authorization, and patient financial responsibilities before clinical staff commence care.
2. Handling initial clinical staff scheduling, tracking physician/provider orders and essential documentation.
3. Utilizing Wellsky/Kinnser Agency Manager EMR platform (prior experience preferred but not mandatory).
4. Navigating multiple referral portals and eFax systems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Medicare system comprehension
- Familiarity with insurance platforms like CareCentrix, Availity, Priority
- Meticulous and detail-oriented
- Demonstrates adaptability, patience, and collaborative approach
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in insurance verification, authorization, or medical billing
