As a Partner Success Manager at Check, you are the primary owner and advocate for our Partners. You will manage partners by establishing robust communication cadences, providing proactive reporting, and protecting and growing Check's revenue through careful and strategic partner management.
What You'll Do
- Execute all phases of the post-sales Partner lifecycle, including ownership of a target, negotiations, and account management.
- Earn the trust of our Partners and build in-depth relationships by maintaining a complete understanding of their business goals.
- Consult on our Partners’ payroll business by investigating root causes of blockers and outlining strategies to unblock revenue.
- Outline mutual success metrics and KPIs with our Partners that align their and Check’s revenue and growth goals.
- Become a product and industry expert, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure every Partner leverages the full value of Check.
- Develop, execute, and maintain a communication cadence with your portfolio of Partners.
- Inform cross-functional counterparts on focus areas relative to Partner needs and pain points.
- Identify, clearly communicate, and manage risk through proactive touchpoints and resolution strategies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build appropriate communication plans for releases, roadmap updates, and incident management.
- Introduce and implement new products and features to your Partners, evaluate their success, and navigate feedback channels.
- Be the connecting element between our Partners’ most important payroll functions: Operations, Sales, Business Operations, Product, etc.
- Maintain strong reference ability across your portfolio, ensuring opportunities for Check and Partner marketing teams to collaborate.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in the SaaS space.
- Post-sales account management or existing account growth experience.
- Demonstrated success owning a portfolio of customer or partner relationships with complex technical and product needs.
- Experience owning the full account lifecycle, with a track record of exceeding revenue targets, goals, or quotas.
- Empathy and genuine care for partners, viewing their success as your own.
- Ability to navigate the political landscape of enterprise partner organizations and develop meaningful relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to capably balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency or familiarity with Check’s primary software applications: Zendesk, Google Workspace, Notion.
- Strong documentation muscle, defaulting to written records and maintaining clean notes in tools like CRMs.
- Enthusiasm for planning, adjusting, executing, winning, and celebrating as a team.
- Ability to work from Check's offices in New York or San Francisco a minimum of 2 days per week.
- Ability to travel as required, up to 25% of the time during busy periods, including to Check’s annual company retreat in Mexico.

- Expected base salary range in San Francisco or NYC is between $168,500 and $185,350 + stock options.
