We're recruiting a Partnership Development Specialist to drive the upper and middle segments of our Affiliate & Network Partnership Program. You'll serve as the primary interface for affiliates, influencers, creators, community leaders, micro-agencies, and network partners—discovering new possibilities, cultivating relationships, and mobilizing partners at scale. Your efforts will directly influence partner quality, activation rates, and Marketing Qualified Lead generation, functioning as a critical growth mechanism for Oceans' partnership ecosystem. This represents a high-impact, relationship-focused position ideal for someone energized by outreach, exploratory dialogues, onboarding, and engaging global partners into meaningful long-term contributors. Accountability Your effectiveness as a Partner Development Specialist will be evaluated by the predictability, volume, and quality of new partners integrated into the program—along with their initial activation and performance trajectory. You'll construct connections, nurture initial interactions, and ensure new partners launch successfully before transitioning to sustained partnership management. Here's how you'll drive impact: New Partner Acquisition - Locate, investigate, and procure potential partners across diverse geographies and sectors - Construct and manage outbound campaigns via email, LinkedIn, InMail, and social platforms - Create Ideal Customer Profiles, compile sourcing lists, and design targeted outreach sequences - Manage list compilation, data enrichment, and CRM updates for precise pipeline visibility Outreach & Activation - Initiate first-contact engagement through highly personalized communication - Conduct 30–40 introductory conversations monthly to explain Oceans, assess compatibility, and establish connection - Manage timezone-friendly scheduling (particularly across Pacific Standard Time hours) - Transform qualified prospects into active partners through robust alignment and expectation management Onboarding & Acceleration - Deliver personalized onboarding sessions and guided program explorations - Articulate incentives, workflows, tracking, and best practices with clarity and confidence - Assist partners in establishing tracking links, content resources, and initial campaigns - Progress partners from "registered" → "engaged" → "result-generating" Performance Management (Early Stage) - Monitor initial partner engagement and track preliminary Key Performance Indicators - Execute proactive follow-ups with newly activated or emerging partners - Identify obstacles, resolve challenges, and support partners until long-term management transition Partnership Collaboration - Collaborate closely with Partnerships Manager on strategy, process optimization, and prioritization - Work with Marketing teams on co-marketing assets and partner-facing materials - Share partner insights with Growth and Lifecycle teams to enhance messaging and funnels Note: Following onboarding and initial activation, partners transition to the Partnerships Manager for sustained cultivation. Colleagues As a Partner Development Specialist, your primary collaborators will be the Partnerships Manager and broader Marketing & Partnerships team. You'll engage with Growth, Lifecycle, Content, PR, and Design teams to ensure partners are fully equipped for strong initiation and sustained success. This role reports to the Partnerships Manager, with involvement from the Head of Marketing & Partnerships. Skills & Qualifications At Oceans, we value T-shaped professionals—individuals with profound expertise in a core specialty and broad curiosity across interconnected disciplines. As a Partner Development Specialist, your vertical strength will be partner sourcing, outreach, and onboarding, while your horizontal capabilities will support cross-functional collaboration. To succeed in this role, you should possess: - 2–5 years in partnerships, Business Development Representative/Sales Development Representative roles, influencer or affiliate acquisition, or partner sales - Robust experience with outreach tools, Customer Relationship Management systems (HubSpot preferred), and sequencing platforms - Exceptional communication skills, capable of rapidly establishing trust via Zoom, email, and LinkedIn - Extensive high-volume outbound experience across multiple channels - Comfort managing multiple introductory calls daily across global time zones - Analytical approach: capable of tracking performance and swift adaptation - Ability to excel in a rapidly scaling, globally distributed environment Bonus Skills: - Experience in affiliate-driven organizations or partner acquisition roles - Background in offshore, distributed, or global market environments Diversity of experience is fundamental to Oceans.
