Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a Part Time Veterinarian to provide essential, compassionate care to geriatric and terminally ill pets in Kansas City, MO. As a veterinarian-owned organization, our mission is to support pets and their families during one of life's most challenging moments by helping pets pass peacefully in the comfort of their own home. You'll join a nurturing and supportive environment focused on building deep connections with pet families, colleagues, and the community.
What You'll Do
- Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets.
- Guide families in making compassionate end-of-life decisions for their pets.
- Build relationships with local veterinary clinics, serving as an extension of their excellent care.
What We're Looking For
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree.
- 1+ year of experience as a practicing veterinarian.
- A valid driver's license and comfort with prolonged periods of driving.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. assisted.
- Capability to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach consistently during the workday.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools.
