Join a research initiative focused on advancing sustainable community practices at Penn State Scranton. We are seeking part-time research assistants to support the Sustainable Communities Lab in conducting in-depth studies, analyzing data, and contributing to grant development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive subject matter research and literature reviews
- Support grant writing with data-driven insights and documentation
- Perform data analytics and assist in reporting findings
- Complete project-specific tasks as assigned across various research initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn new concepts and research methods
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
- High level of personal commitment and accountability
- Strong organizational capabilities
- Focus on delivering measurable results
Preferred Skills
- Background in business, quantitative disciplines, or related fields
- Experience with data processing and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, or SAS
- Programming knowledge in Python, web-scraping, or natural language processing (NLP) is advantageous
