About the Role
This position supports the safety and well-being of homeless families by delivering trauma-informed care, managing crises, and connecting individuals to essential services in a residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor facility safety and resident well-being during assigned shifts
- Respond promptly to behavioral or safety concerns among residents
- Document incidents and maintain accurate records
- Support residents in crisis with de-escalation techniques
- Enforce program rules while maintaining a respectful environment
- Conduct regular facility checks to ensure security
- Assist with move-ins and move-outs as needed
- Provide referrals to on-site and community-based services
- Collaborate with case management staff to support resident goals
- Participate in shift handoffs and team communication
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Support compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in organizing and facilitating resident meetings
- Model positive interpersonal interactions
- Respond to emergency situations following established protocols
- Ensure cleanliness and order in common areas
- Track and report maintenance issues
- Support resident accountability through consistent follow-up
- Engage with families using trauma-informed approaches
- Uphold program standards and organizational policies
