BMW Group is looking for an Overseas Supply Chain Operations and Data Analysis Intern to join our team dedicated to safeguarding production through integrated supply chain solutions. As part of the Material Control, Transportation Control, and Delivery Assurance team, you will be a key gatekeeper of our international supply chain, working within our dynamic learning environment focused on practical experience.

What You'll Do

Monitor missing parts related to past due shipments and internal process errors.
Create process maps and documentation for International Logistics (ILS) processes.
Generate daily reports on shipping accuracy.
Collaborate with air and sea freight carriers to enhance reporting and KPIs.
Partner with the launch team to map shared processes and document improvements.
Analyze material flow and set parameters, including ideal delivery profiles and rounding values for overseas plants.
Support process description and review service-level agreements.
Analyze and visualize reoccurring issues of missed shipments.
Monitor issues related to short shipments and parts in backlog.
Communicate with BMW Consolidated Services to ensure on-time delivery.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

What We're Looking For

A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
Transfer students must have a GPA from their current university.
Independent and detail-oriented work style.
Organized approach to tasks.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to learn.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to Have

Preferred degrees: Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or related fields.
Strong interpersonal and technical skills; experience with Power BI, SQL, or Data Lake is a bonus.
