Flowers Foods is looking for an Oven Operator to ensure the quality proofing and baking of our products according to established standards. In this role, you will demonstrate competency in all on-the-job activities affecting product safety, legality, and quality.
What You'll Do
- Prepare the proofer by setting humidity, temperature level, and proofing time. Prepare the oven by setting temperature and speed controls.
- Set up equipment to ensure proper pan and product flow.
- Check proofed dough to ensure proper rising and make necessary adjustments in temperature, humidity, and proofing time according to standards.
- Monitor operation of proof box, oven, and auxiliary equipment to ensure proper proof and bake, detecting and correcting equipment malfunctions.
- Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
- Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
What We're Looking For
- No educational prerequisite; however, you must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and record necessary information applicable to the job.
Nice to Have
- One or more years of production experience as a helper and three years minimum as an oven operator.
- Working knowledge of proofer procedures.
