National General, backed by a Fortune 100 brand, is looking for an Outside Insurance Sales Consultant to help customers protect what matters most. You will drive local sales growth by becoming a trusted resource and building genuine relationships within your community.
What You'll Do
- Prospect and actively generate leads in your community through networking, referrals, events, and outreach.
- Build genuine relationships and become a known, trusted resource in your local market.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to recommend the right mix of insurance products.
- Identify gaps in existing coverage and provide customized solutions to ensure full protection.
- Engage in local events such as car shows, open houses, and home expos.
- Represent the company’s mission with professionalism, care, and credibility.
- Develop a personalized marketing plan to drive outreach and local visibility.
- Stay current on industry and marketing trends to adapt your strategy effectively.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of insurance sales experience
- Active Personal Lines OR P&C license
- Active Life & Health license (or an active Life license in states that issue separately)
- Skilled at leveraging personal and professional connections to grow your pipeline and business
- A reliable internet connection and transportation for local travel
- Availability to train full-time (9 AM–5:30 PM CT) for the first 3 weeks

- Salary: $40,000–$60,000 with performance-based rewards
- Licensing fee reimbursements for Motor Club, Property & Casualty, and Life & Health licenses (capped at $400 per license)

Work Mode
This role is based in your local city, requiring community engagement and local travel.
