Fresenius Medical Care North America is hiring an Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 1 is your entry point into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). In this role, you'll be the cornerstone of patient care, responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating care for a specific patient group. You'll coordinate care and strategically delegate tasks to direct patient care staff, including RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. As a key member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) healthcare team, you'll drive decision-making, provide leadership, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that elevate patient outcomes and facility performance. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties will be performed in alignment with Fresenius Kidney Care policy, nursing practice standards, and state/federal regulations. • Perform essential functions under supervisor guidance and in collaboration with Clinical Educators, Preceptors, and fellow RNs • Conduct systematic patient data collection and analysis before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments, documenting findings and adjusting treatment plans as needed • Assess and document patient/family learning needs, providing comprehensive initial and ongoing education • Direct and collaborate on safe, effective hemodialysis therapy delivery • Administer medications per prescriptions and document medical justification and effectiveness • Initiate or assist with emergency response measures • Serve as a healthcare team resource and participate in staff training and new employee orientation • Ensure accurate laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team to identify, document, and update patient care outcomes • Promote patient awareness of transplant and treatment modality options • Complete Clinical Advancement Program requirements for progression • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: These requirements represent typical job environment characteristics.
