Collect and analyze open-source content related to the conflict in Ukraine, including social media posts, messaging app content, videos, images, and satellite data. You will verify this material using geolocation, chronolocation, metadata analysis, and source credibility assessments to ensure it meets evidentiary standards for investigative and legal use.
What You'll Do
- Systematically gather and authenticate digital content from public sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability
- Organize verified material in structured databases with consistent tagging and metadata for long-term preservation and retrieval
- Collaborate with investigators and technologists to align data collection with ongoing case needs and reporting goals
- Provide guidance and training to team members and partners on effective and ethical open-source practices
- Maintain strict protocols for handling sensitive or distressing content, following organizational safeguards and ethical guidelines
Requirements
- Proven experience in open-source intelligence gathering, verification, and archiving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical processes clearly
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital evidence management or e-discovery workflows
- Background in delivering training or knowledge-sharing sessions in OSINT contexts
- Working knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian languages
Technical Environment
You’ll work with social and messaging platforms like Telegram, analyze satellite imagery, and use specialized tools for geolocation, chronolocation, and metadata examination. Experience with evidence management systems is essential.
