Enveritas was looking for an Ops Manager (India / Asia)

Enveritas is hiring an Ops Manager (India / Asia) to oversee and drive our field operations. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end operations in India, including logistics, team coordination, and stakeholder engagement, while ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis. Over time, the scope may extend to other opportunities across Asia.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day, end-to-end field operations in India, including creating budgets and contracts.
  • Coordinate field logistics and manage field teams.
  • Cultivate stakeholder relationships and develop a deep understanding of the landscape.
  • Generate and execute new opportunities in India.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, develop country strategy, and problem-solve dynamic issues.
  • Oversee field team training and data quality processes with the Data and Insights team.
  • Support insights generation and conduct data analysis projects to understand coffee industry dynamics.
  • Generate reports for stakeholders and clients and conduct research related to coffee and other crops.
  • Conduct training of field teams and lead sessions on data quality.
  • Coordinate the work of field teams, including travel around 10-20% of the year.
  • Support Asia’s Operations and Data & Insights teams on special projects and ad hoc requests.
  • Design and improve training methods, data quality processes, tools, and survey questionnaires.

What We're Looking For

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience in operations and field/project management.
  • Exposure to data analysis & research, the coffee sector, sustainable agriculture, or comparable fields.
  • Independent problem-solver with sound judgment and a flexible attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of accountability.
  • Strong work ethic and professionalism, particularly for independent and remote work.
  • High level of rigor and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical competencies, with experience working with datasets and deriving insights.
  • Clear track record of working in a fast-paced, multicultural team environment.
  • A driving desire to alleviate poverty and make the world a better place.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
  • Familiarity with quantitative data collection software/platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree and excellent academic record in a relevant discipline.
  • Availability for regular travel to remote agricultural regions in India and potentially other Asian countries.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in programming languages and geographical information systems (GIS).
  • Based in coffee-growing regions in India (e.g., Karnataka).
