IFF is looking for an Operator I, Production to be a key contributor on our manufacturing line. You will control and operate machinery to assist with the production process, handling everything from manufacturing to packaging.
What You'll Do
- Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions
- Basic understanding of computers to check email and navigate the internet for safety training
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift, 2-2-3 schedule (Monday, Thursday, Friday one week; Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday the next), including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed on a regular basis (5am - 5pm or 5pm – 5am)
- Willingness and ability to work in manufacturing environments wearing required safety equipment (earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, steel-toed shoes)
- Ability to stand; walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Nice to Have
- Previous work experience in a food manufacturing or GMP environment
- Previous fork-lift experience
- Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment and machines
Work Mode
This role requires full-time, onsite presence at our manufacturing facility.
