TBC Corporation was looking for an Operations Manager I

TBC Corporation is hiring an Operations Manager I to lead a Distribution Center (DC). You will oversee all operational aspects including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and route management, ensuring performance standards are met while fostering a safe and engaged team environment.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee all DC operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and route management.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team through hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards for quality and service level agreements.
  • Maximize cost control in relation to all variable expenses.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all picking, receiving, put away, and shipping functions.
  • Maintain employee engagement and administer company Human Resource policies.
  • Implement company and regulatory training to ensure staff is equipped for their duties.
  • Maintain the facility, equipment, and vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, low-cost operation.
  • Ensure a safe work environment is present at all times and that all employees abide by safety guidelines.
  • Operate material handling equipment and manage inventory as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • A safety-first mentality.
  • Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds while bending and twisting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a high level of professional integrity.
  • A current driver’s license and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • 24/7 access to a cell phone, email, and security system for emergencies.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice to Have

  • A 4-year degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent distribution/transportation experience.
  • Management experience including leadership, time management, and coaching skills.
  • Experience with SAP and routing software.
