We are seeking an Operations Analyst to manage and refine product and billing systems within the energy industry. In this role, you will ensure precise revenue tracking across more than 480,000 service points and a monthly billing volume exceeding $675 million. You will serve as a technical and operational resource, working independently and across departments to implement and maintain product structures and billing accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, launch, and refine commercial energy products, including setup and billing configuration across ISO-regulated markets.
- Maintain billing accuracy for a large portfolio of service locations, identifying and correcting system discrepancies that affect revenue capture.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Pricing, and Billing teams to align product design, cost models, and revenue reporting practices.
- Evaluate changes in regulations and tariffs, then support operational updates, including net metering calculations based on usage and rate structures.
- Resolve escalated product or billing issues, providing expert insight into system behavior and configuration logic.
- Support process improvement projects by identifying inefficiencies and recommending practical solutions in coordination with leadership and subject matter experts.
- Manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision, maintaining attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least two years of experience in the energy sector, with familiarity in wholesale markets, settlement procedures, and regional market operations. A background in Economics, Finance, or Business is beneficial. Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and engage effectively across organizational levels.
Technical Tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Visio, PowerPoint, and Access is required for data analysis, reporting, and process documentation.
Work Environment
