IQ-EQ is hiring an Officer 3 Data Analyst for our Asset Owner Solutions team. This mid-level role is responsible for delivering comprehensive ETL (Extraction, Transform, Load) according to set requirements, while managing the day-to-day accounting for private equity or real estate clients. We're looking for a detail-oriented team player who can execute established procedures independently while maintaining our standards for quality and timeliness.
What You'll Do
- Perform ETL – Extract data from PDF documents, web forms, and Excel templates; Transform into applicable format; and Load into relevant data repository.
- Maintain accurate and timely processing of data extraction and collection using prescribed guidelines.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in client reports and dashboards, and prepare periodic portfolio reporting.
- Review financial statements to ensure they meet funds’ reporting requirements (e.g., UK GAAP or IFRS).
- Review investor drawdown and distribution calculations to ensure accuracy and proper allocation.
- Ensure accurate communication of all cash movements between the fund and its investors through issuance of relevant notices.
- Oversee the preparation and completion process of client deliverables, including agreeing timetables and monitoring progress.
- Follow quality control processes and risk mitigation efforts, and conduct self-reviews to maintain standards.
- Assist in client onboarding, ad-hoc analysis, and supporting senior team members with routine assignments.
- Track work progress, complete detailed operational checklists, and follow prescribed workflows.
- Support in managing incoming communication from team members, clients, and investors.
- Participate in required training and cross-functional collaboration within the international organization.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in data analysis with exposure to data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), ETL processes (via SQL or Snowflake), and Macro/VBA.
- Knowledge in data extraction tools and basic knowledge in MS SQL/Data Warehouse – joins, unions, group by etc.
- Basic knowledge in data storytelling and visualization best practices.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with a particular focus on Excel.
- Experience reviewing working paper files and financial statements, including disclosures, or a strong accounting background.
- Experience managing client relationships and resolving issues directly with clients.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, with good time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable mindset focused on quality control, willing to follow standardized workflows and adapt to client needs.
- Open to feedback and capable of applying it to improve performance.
Nice to Have
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA part or fully qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Previously worked in financial services or accounting practices managing multiple client relationships.
- Experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members.
