About the Role
The intern will assist with day-to-day IT operations in the office, provide technical support to employees, and help maintain reliable IT infrastructure across devices and software platforms.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve employee issues with computers, phones, and network access
- Set up workstations for new hires including hardware, software, and account configurations
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and track device assignments
- Assist in managing user accounts and access permissions across internal systems
- Support video conferencing setups and troubleshoot meeting room technology
- Perform routine software updates and security patches on company devices
- Document technical procedures and common troubleshooting solutions
- Collaborate with IT team members on system improvement initiatives
- Assist with migration tasks during software or platform upgrades
- Ensure compliance with internal data security and privacy policies
- Respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Provide training or guidance to staff on basic IT tools and functions
- Monitor network performance and report anomalies
- Install and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals
- Evaluate hardware performance and recommend replacements when needed
- Assist in organizing IT audits and system reviews
- Help maintain secure backup processes for critical data
- Participate in onboarding sessions for new team members
- Test new software applications before company-wide rollout
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff
- Ensure company devices meet security standards
- Assist in managing mobile device configurations
- Support remote access solutions for distributed teams
- Keep workspaces organized and cabling managed
- Contribute to improving internal IT service delivery
