About the Role
This position involves providing occupational therapy support under the supervision of a licensed therapist, delivering client care through virtual platforms, documenting progress, and contributing to treatment planning in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy services remotely using secure digital platforms
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by supervising therapists
- Monitor client progress and report changes to supervising clinicians
- Conduct virtual sessions with clients across various age groups
- Support clients in improving daily living skills and functional independence
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists on client goals
- Adapt therapeutic activities for home-based environments
- Educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and equipment use
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations during virtual interactions
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Respond to client inquiries between sessions as needed
- Track client attendance and session outcomes
- Use clinical judgment to modify activities based on client feedback
- Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements
- Follow established protocols for emergency situations during sessions
- Support onboarding of new clients into the therapy program
- Assist in developing client-specific resource materials
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Uphold ethical standards in all client interactions

- Experience with pediatric or geriatric populations
