Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in various settings
- Assess patients' functional abilities and develop treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' daily living skills
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home programs
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans
- Adjust treatment plans as needed based on patient progress
- Provide training and supervision to support staff and students
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences
- Maintain current knowledge of occupational therapy practices and trends
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Provide input on program development and quality improvement initiatives
- Conduct functional assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement community-based rehabilitation programs
- Provide ergonomic assessments and workplace safety recommendations
- Participate in outreach and educational activities to promote occupational therapy
- Provide culturally competent care to diverse patient populations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies
- Attend and participate in continuing education and professional development activities
- Provide support and mentorship to new and less experienced staff members
- Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to all patients
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in occupational therapy practice

Education and Licensure
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of employment
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent
- Certification in Occupational Therapy (OTR) or equivalent
- Certification in Pediatric Occupational Therapy (if applicable)
- Certification in Geriatric Occupational Therapy (if applicable)
- Certification in Assistive Technology (if applicable)
- Certification in Ergonomics (if applicable)
