BRF is hiring an Occupational Health Technician (Nursing) to champion workplace safety and employee well-being. In this role, you will implement corporate health standards, mitigate occupational disease risks, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation through technical execution and proactive programs.
What You'll Do
- Promote occupational health through the deployment of corporate directives and safety standards.
- Adopt actions to mitigate the risk of occupational diseases and protect the integrity and work capacity of employees.
- Conduct investigations, monitoring, and evaluations to identify variables for disease and accident control.
- Analyze and recommend measures to reduce or eliminate risks of occupational diseases for employees and third parties.
- Participate in projects aimed at minimizing work-related disease risks.
- Evaluate conditions of hygiene, insalubrity, and danger in the work environment, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Follow and disseminate the occupational health and safety policy.
- Create and execute prevention programs that inform people about occupational risks and encourage the use of protective equipment.
- Foster a culture of safe behavior.
- Manage medical certificates and occupational health certificates (ASO).
- Control admission, periodic, job change, return to work, and termination exams to comply with legal obligations.
- Support service providers performing occupational exams.
- Control and register absences, scheduling, and appointments at INSS.
- Maintain consistent data and information in the system.
- Control and register returns from absence, communicating to HR.
- Develop and monitor occupational health area indicators.
- Point out main causes of absenteeism and absences for action plan development.
- Receive, evaluate, and triage people with signs or symptoms of occupational diseases.
- Conduct necessary controls and investigations.
- Provide first aid care to people with emergencies within the company.
- Perform health triage for referral to a doctor.
- Act in disease prevention and vaccination campaigns through lectures and information sessions.
- Conduct training, lead meetings, committees, and working groups on occupational health topics.
- Contribute to disseminating the occupational health and safety policy.
- Interface with leadership to ensure compliance with legislation and BRF internal norms.
- Provide technical guidance to the Internal Accident Prevention Commission (CIPA) and Emergency Brigade.
- Manage medication inventories, making purchases when necessary.
- Comply with guidelines established in BRF's Sustainability Policy.
- Ensure adherence to the BRF Sustainability Plan through routine activities that promote management, meet indicators, and support the company's global ESG commitments.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma with a Technical Course in Occupational Nursing.
