Mass General Brigham is hiring a Nursing Supervisor for Martha's Vineyard Hospital. In this key leadership role, you will provide administrative, operational, and clinical oversight for all hospital services during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. You will serve as the primary clinical resource and patient care representative, responsible for escalating serious issues and coordinating care.
What You'll Do
- Supervise patient care by verifying the application of the nursing process according to established standards.
- Ensure appropriate intervention in situations such as patient deterioration, emergencies, or equipment malfunctions.
- Act as the off-shift patient care representative, listening to and investigating patient and family concerns.
- Conduct rounds of all patient care areas, with a focus on high-acuity patients.
- Collaborate with support services, emergency, admitting, and clinical departments to coordinate patient care and environmental needs.
- Follow through to ensure resolution of patient needs and safety-related issues.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) state license.
- ACLS and PALS certifications.
- 5-7 years of Critical Care Clinical Nursing experience.
- 2-3 years of Charge Nurse or Supervisory experience.
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
