Florida Power & Light Company / NextEra Energy is seeking a Nuclear Site Engineer to be part of history with the restart of the Duane Arnold Energy Center. You'll tackle unprecedented technical challenges with no established playbook, developing innovative solutions for plant restoration, system recommissioning, and operational readiness.
What You'll Do
- Develop innovative solutions for plant restoration, system recommissioning, and operational readiness at the Duane Arnold Energy Center.
- Drive critical decisions on equipment evaluation, regulatory compliance, and design modifications.
- Lead cross-functional teams and provide technical consultation to leadership.
- Serve as a technical liaison across engineering disciplines.
- Perform advanced engineering activity and analysis that leads to the development of innovative concepts.
- Interpret, organize, execute and coordinate complex engineering assignments.
- Work independently to perform engineering tasks with little or no established precedence.
- Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations to solve new problems and address novel situations.
- Manage project teams toward solutions using leadership prowess, problem solving, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Represent supervisor interests and serve in a backup capacity when necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 0+ years of specific nuclear experience required
