The NPI Manufacturing Manager at Logitech is responsible for driving manufacturing strategies to ensure new product manufacturability and successful launch. This role partners with business groups, operations, engineering, and manufacturers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery for new products in a high-tech, high-volume environment.
What You'll Do
- Apply Logitech NPI Playbook to ensure key gates are accomplished from the early product development phase to mass production
- Develop and execute an NPI manufacturing plan (Make/Buy) aligned to Operations global strategy
- Participate in new supplier assessment and selection
- Develop product should-cost with the Value Engineering team, and contribute to cost reduction initiatives with engineering and procurement functions to achieve target cost
- Drive early and on-going operations involvement with engineering, including PAs and PBs, to ensure new products and technologies are designed for manufacturability and propose alternative manufacturing approaches
- Identify product, manufacturing and supply chain related risks, and proactively manages mitigation and contingency plan to secure the launch date (OSD)
- Drive manufacturing activities at the suppliers to ensure manufacturing and supply chain readiness and to meet launch KPIs
- Contribute to CIP with Value Engineering team in product teardowns and benchmarking
- Drive manufacturing cost reduction pertaining to lean manufacturing and process improvements for sustaining products
- Interface with engineering teams on new and sustaining product processes, value engineering improvements and new technology integration
- Participate in Logitech’s innovation development (Techno Bricks) and lead the industrialization of new technologies
- Implement improvements to the NPI process and Playbook, applying AI and digitalization where appropriate
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in high tech, high volume manufacturing environment
- Effective project leader with the ability to influence across functions and promote change
- Manufacturing expertise with a proven track record of delivering improvements in efficiency, quality, costs, and product launch
- Experience in new product manufacturing launch, with the ability to manage a few launches at the same time
- Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), and lean manufacturing tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills in both Mandarin and English
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to manufacturing sites across Asia
