About the Role

Colwen Hotels is seeking a Night Auditor to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk and financial systems during overnight shifts. You will balance hotel transactions, close out the day, respond to guest requests, and maintain the lobby area, all while delivering exceptional service.

What You'll Do

  • Operate the front desk and assist guests with inquiries and needs throughout their stay.
  • Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges, balancing ledgers, running the night audit, and performing backups.
  • Efficiently manage front desk operations to ensure timely check-in and check-out.
  • Warmly and professionally welcome all guests, processing check-ins by confirming reservations and assigning rooms.
  • Treat all guest requests with professionalism, tact, and a sense of urgency.
  • Investigate and resolve all complaints regarding service or accommodations.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, rates, discounts, and local community events.
  • Ensure prompt delivery and accuracy of guest billing and daily closing reports.
  • Process all payment types including charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit cards.
  • Communicate with the Lead Audit team regarding daily closing and any issues.
  • Discreetly handle confidential guest information.
  • Ensure the lobby and shared areas are neat and orderly.
  • Adhere to all Colwen and brand standards and maintain strict key controls.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • One year of related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to deal with difficult guests.
  • Familiarity with the local area and ability to provide directions and maps to attractions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and common computer software programs.
  • Ability to learn computer software programs and operate a property management system.
  • An overnight work schedule, including weekends and holidays, is required.
