Responsibilities
- Engage healthcare providers using digital and virtual platforms to support therapeutic education and access.
- Redirect customer inquiries to appropriate internal teams, such as Customer Service Specialists, when necessary.
- Ensure customer needs are addressed and collect feedback on interaction quality.
- Lead educational speaker programs to disseminate clinical knowledge and real-world insights.
- Coordinate local provider forums for peer discussion on treatment experiences and outcomes with regional leaders.
- Share market feedback and business opportunities with the Area Business Lead to guide strategic planning.
- Collaborate within the ecosystem team to refine targeting and customer engagement strategies in compliance with regulations.
- Use frontline customer insights to shape local business strategies and support organizational goals.
- Proactively contact healthcare professionals to discuss product access, approved clinical information, and patient care standards.
- Conduct virtual and digital engagements while directing customers to relevant internal resources as needed.
- Support speaker events and local clinician groups to foster shared learning with regional leadership.
- Communicate market insights and customer feedback to leadership for strategic refinement.
- Leverage competitive intelligence and performance reports, including sales and budget data, to identify growth areas.
- Understand local market dynamics and territory conditions to prioritize business activities.
- Respond appropriately to competitive challenges and market shifts within compliance guidelines.
- Train office staff on insurance policies and reimbursement processes to improve patient access.
- Use approved promotional tools effectively during customer interactions.
- Stay informed about internal support resources and apply them as needed.
- Apply industry and market knowledge to address concerns and support informed prescribing decisions.
- Identify and connect with professional networks to engage potential key opinion leaders.
- Develop strong relationships with clinical and administrative staff, emphasizing patient-centered care.
- Take ownership of follow-up actions and deliver accurate, valuable information to customer accounts.
- Deliver clear, confident, and balanced sales presentations using approved materials and clinical references to support improved patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales.
- Must live within 50 miles of the primary city in the assigned territory.
- Prior experience in commercial life sciences or related cross-functional roles.
- Four or more years of direct sales experience with healthcare providers, preferably with multiple products.
- Ability to adapt and perform in evolving, uncertain business environments.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, training, or mentoring colleagues.
- Committed to ethical practices, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies.
- Capable of understanding and conveying complex clinical and product information.
- Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to travel overnight as required by territory demands.
Nice to Have
- Experience in central nervous system (CNS), psychiatry, or ADHD therapeutic areas.
- Background in launching new products or new indications is advantageous.
