Responsibilities
- Perform physical hardware upgrades at customer sites
- Carry out on-site software updates and version upgrades
- Build and apply network configurations both on-site and remotely as directed by the client
- Create and maintain documentation for hardware upgrade processes
- Develop and revise procedures for software upgrades
- Maintain accurate 'As-Built' configuration records
- Document network cabling layouts and standards
- Keep current records for IP address allocation and usage
- Produce and update routing configuration documentation
- Develop test plans to evaluate failover performance and resilience
- Carry out testing, analyze results, and record findings
- Support application and third-party circuit migration by transitioning into an operational role
- Serve as primary responder for diagnosing and resolving advanced routing, switching, and firewall problems

- Writing and updating documentation for Routing
- Writing and updating documentation for Test Plans for failover analysis
- Test plan execution, analysis, and documentation
- Transition to a support role during application and 3rd party circuit migration efforts
- Act as the first line of defense to troubleshoot and resolve complex routing, switching, and firewall issues

- Role covers 3 customer locations: Phoenix, AZ, Little Rock, AR, and Brown Deere, WI
- Initial 6 months focused on data center expansion
- After initial phase, transition to support role during application and 3rd party circuit migrations
