Securitas is looking for a National Strategic Development Manager to lead and deliver all national sales and competitive tendering activity across our protective service lines. In this role, you will drive new revenue by identifying high-value national opportunities, shaping winning strategies, and securing major contracts end-to-end.
What You'll Do
- Lead full-cycle national tender activity including identification, strategy, shaping, and submission.
- Develop compelling win strategies in collaboration with Sales, Operations, Commercial teams, and SMEs.
- Analyse customer intelligence to position the company ahead of market needs.
- Pinpoint commercial growth opportunities within frameworks, procurement cycles, and strategic accounts.
- Own tender timelines, stakeholder responsibilities, and high-quality deliverables.
- Produce persuasive narrative content that differentiates the company's offering.
- Coordinate input across operational, technical, risk, fire, and security teams.
- Ensure submissions are accurate, compliant, aligned, and visually consistent.
- Partner with Commercial teams on pricing models, commercial viability, and risk controls.
- Influence solution design to ensure practical, scalable, and commercially robust offerings.
- Work closely with Business Leadership to prioritise national opportunities.
- Maintain visibility of upcoming national tenders across protective services.
- Provide insight on competitor behaviours, market trends, and procurement shifts.
- Support national forecasting and tender pipeline development.
- Facilitate workshops, storyboarding sessions, reviews, and internal sign-off.
- Ensure submissions meet governance, commercial approval, and contract risk standards.
- Build strong internal relationships at all levels from operational specialists to C-suite leaders.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing high-value tenders, bids or proposals (national scale ideal).
- Strong understanding of protective services or adjacent safety-led markets.
- Exceptional written communication—able to create persuasive, polished content.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple concurrent submissions.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret complex contract requirements.
- Advanced MS Word, PowerPoint and proposal-building capability.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration.
- Understanding of commercial pricing models and contract structures.
- Knowledge of both public and private sector procurement environments.
- Background in sales-focused roles within protective services or complex B2B industries.
