Responsibilities
- Architect intricate workflows using n8n’s visual interface to connect over 400 services
- Construct advanced automations incorporating more than 20 nodes with branching, loops, and conditional logic
- Develop modular sub-workflows and reusable templates for consistent automation design
- Implement strategies for processing large volumes of data in batch mode
- Orchestrate operations across ten or more platforms while maintaining transactional consistency
- Design real-time bidirectional synchronization with conflict resolution mechanisms
- Establish intelligent routing using dynamic business rules and decision-making logic
- Optimize automation pipelines for high performance, scalability, and resilience under enterprise loads
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new automation use cases
- Build custom n8n nodes in JavaScript or TypeScript when standard integrations are insufficient
- Write scripts to transform, verify, and enhance data during system transfers
- Develop shared JavaScript functions for repeated tasks across automation flows
- Create lightweight extensions to expand n8n’s built-in functionality
- Integrate third-party tools such as Airtable, Slack, Stripe, Notion, Google Sheets, Salesforce, and CRM platforms
- Link disparate systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and custom authentication protocols
- Apply secure authentication methods including OAuth 2.0, API keys, JWT, and encrypted credential storage
- Manage API constraints like rate limits, pagination, and complex request structures
- Develop database workflows for synchronizing data across SQL and NoSQL systems
- Design real-time integrations using webhook architectures
- Implement comprehensive error handling, retry protocols, and fallback procedures
- Formulate testing approaches covering edge cases and failure conditions
- Build monitoring and alerting systems to track workflow execution and performance metrics
- Diagnose and improve existing workflows for efficiency and dependability
- Ensure 24/7 reliability of automation systems with minimal ongoing maintenance
- Develop backup and disaster recovery plans for critical workflows
