Kyndryl is looking for an MS SQL DBA to join our Database Administration team. You'll be responsible for managing the backbone of our technological infrastructure, shaping system definitions and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations.
What You'll Do
- Configure, install, and maintain database management systems to ensure peak performance.
- Manage user access and implement high standards of security to protect data.
- Develop robust backup and recovery plans as a disaster recovery expert.
- Support end users and application developers in solving complex database problems.
- Implement policies and procedures to safeguard data from external threats.
- Conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage.
- Work with various teams to coordinate systematic database project plans.
- Propose and implement enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years minimum of relevant professional experience.
- A Graduate degree related to IT.
- Proven ability to install, configure, and maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.
- Experience monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing fixes.
- Hands-on experience with backups, restores, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
- Skills in tuning slow queries, managing indexes, and optimizing CPU, memory, and disk usage.
- Experience planning and applying patches, updates, and security fixes regularly.
Nice to Have
- Experience automating tasks using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and SQL Jobs.
