EY is hiring a Mobility Tax Senior Manager for its People Advisory Services (PAS) practice. You will provide strategic tax planning recommendations to clients managing global workforces, tackling complex compliance and advisory work to address their most critical people challenges and drive sustainable business results.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic tax planning recommendations to clients.
- Engage in complex compliance and advisory work, working with colleagues globally.
- Complete tax returns, review and sign off, write correspondence, provide authoritative advice and guidance, and review tax cost estimates.
- Directly engage clients, questioning and negotiating to provide results.
- Provide quality US tax returns and overseas tax filings, preparing and reviewing calculations for international tax cost projections, equalization, and hypothetical tax.
- Generate revenue by identifying follow-on engagement opportunities and developing lasting client relationships.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities to improve processes and acquire new business.
- Contribute to business development and client pursuit activities.
- Lead workstreams from planning to implementation, managing resources and budgets effectively.
- Develop understanding of expatriate tax issues, trends, and tools.
- Manage, coach, and develop junior resources and peers, focusing on their technical and client service skills.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in expatriate tax within a Big 4 firm, global management consultancy, niche consultancy, or an in-house role with exposure to large-scale projects.
- An approved technical certification, CPA license, membership to state Bar, or progress toward attaining these credentials.
- An understanding of automated tax-processing systems and tax laws.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently influence colleagues and clients.
- An analytical approach to tax and the ability to convert complex data into meaningful strategic insights.
- Proven successful delivery of Mobility (Expatriate) Tax projects with a technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach to solving complex client challenges.
Nice to Have
- An MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM degree.
- Exposure to US and international clients.

- Base salary range for all US geographic locations: $128,100 to $292,500.
- Base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento): $153,700 to $332,400.
